THE SECRET - ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EDITION

     On August 18, 2014, something beautiful started. KIP SMILN' CONCEPTS (through the divine grace an inspiration of God) launched the maiden edition of the weekly devotional; “THE SECRET” - An eye opener to God's promises for us. For the past one year, THE SECRET has revealed 52, out of many promises God made to us.

     God has lot of things (blessings, prosperity, etc) in stock for us, but there is no way we can claim all these things if we are unaware and ignorant of it. This is the main reason THE SECRET reveals all these promises to us, so we can know our right, key into it and claim it.

God has said it, we just have to believe it and that settles everything. Remember His promise in Isaiah 55:11, “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it”. God has not forgotten us and He will definitely fulfil all the promises He has made.

     As THE SECRET clocks one, we give thanks to God for divine inspiration, guidance and for bringing us thus far. And to all our dearly beloveth readers/fans, we love and appreciate you all, may God continue to bless you.

     For our special one year anniversary edition, Bible texts/passages from the inception till date has been compiled and packaged for you. Read through, claim and key into God's promises in these verses and the promises will definitely be fulfilled in our lives.

"I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born." - Isaiah 66:9

We all know what it is like to be bone-tired. It is to be so exhausted, mentally, physically, and spiritually. It is to feel despairing and defeated. It is to feel as if your energy can never be restored, so you have no choice but to drag yourself through your days, longing all the while only for rest. We all know that type of weariness/tiredness one way or the other.

     Fortunately, for most of us, such bone-tiredness, as awful as it is, is only an occasional experience. For some of us, though, it is a way of life. Some of us are so exhausted that bone-tired is the only way we know how to live anymore. Depression, anxiety, marital or family strife, financial instability, ill health -- these things and others can make us so crushingly weary that we can’t imagine feeling truly alive again.

     But God is assuring us with another wonderful promise, that we only need to persevere through these bone-tired times, because He will do something great for us that will wipe away all the pains we might have been through.

     As we all know, there's always pain during labour, but once their is delivery, the joy of delivery always surpasses the "labour's pain". God is set to lavish us with great joy of delivery in all areas of our lives after the pains we've had while labouring one way or the.    other.

     As we go into a promising week, let us all connect with God, and be rest assured that He will restore and refresh us. And whenever we go through though periods, just be happy as you persevere through it because God will cause something new and great to happen at the end. Your testimony is almost here

"THE SECRET" WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL 03-08-2015.

"Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses." - Joshua 1:3

     This is God speaking to Joshua (just as He is also speaking to us this morning). Joshua was the one God chose to lead the Israelites to the promised land after the death of Moses.

      This is the same land God promised Abraham and his seeds. He said he will give them the land where they are strangers. Even after the death of Abraham and Moses, who led the Israelites out of Egypt, God still reaffirmed his promise to Joshua and Joshua was able to lead the Israelites to promised land.

     This shows that the word of God will always remain the same. Once he has said something, he will surely bring it to pass.

     Before this promise came to pass, God made them wander in the wilderness for forty years because they failed to obey God's instructions and trust in His promises. Just like the case of the Israelites, the things that can stand between us and the fulfilment of God's promises are disobedience and lack of faith.

     As we go through the week and the month, let's remember THE SECRET this week that God HAS GIVEN to us everywhere - that company, that land that house, that situation e.t.c -  that we step our feet and every good thing we lay our hands upon. All we need to do is believe and go and possess our possessions.

THE CARROT, EGG, AND COFFEE

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as when one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen, filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water. "Which are you?" she asked her daughter. When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg,or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor.
If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best~of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you will the one smiling when everyone around you is crying. May we all be COFFEE!!!
